Chemical properities

Application

1、Acid orange II is mainly used for dyeing wool, silk, polyamide and direct printing of fabrics. It has bright color, good evenness, but poor fastness. Also used in leather, paper and biological products coloring, pure products can be used as food coloring, also can be used as indicators. It can be mixed with acid black 10B(C.I.AcidBlack1) to form acid black ATT.2、Mainly used for dyeing silk and wool fabrics. Can dye nylon in formic acid bath. This product can be directly printed on wool and silk nylon.3、PH indicator, pH change range 7.4(amber) to 8.6(orange); 10.2(orange) to 11.8(red); Extraction and photometric determination of cationic surfactants; Biological stain.4、Acid orange FO can also be used to make toilet liquid, hand sanitizer and other cleaning products


Production methods

Using p-aminobenzene sulfonic acid and 2-naphthol as raw materials, the diazotization of p-aminobenzene sulfonic acid and 2-naphthol was coupled to obtain the product. By salting out, filtering, drying, crushing the finished product. First of all 15% p-aminobenzene sulfonic acid solution (containing p-aminobenzene sulfonic acid 173kg) and 30% sodium nitrite solution (containing NaNO269kg) mixed evenly, in the diazo pot to add 600L water, 264kg hydrochloric acid (30%), add ice control temperature 10-15℃, The Chemicalbook mixture was added within 10min and stirred for 30min to obtain diazo solution. In the coupling pot, add 400L water, 141.8kG2-naphthol and 30% liquid alkali 143kg, heat up to 45-50℃, stir to dissolve, cool down to 8℃, add 19kg salt, and quickly add 1/2 amount of diazo solution. Add another 37kg of salt, and add another 1/2 amount of diazo solution within 1h, continue to stir for 1h, add another 75kg of salt, continue to stir until the end of the coupling. Filter and dry the product.
