Chemical Properities

Direct Black 22 Dyes is grayish-blue powder. Water solubility is good, the aqueous solution is purplish black, adding concentrated hydrochloric acid to produce brown black precipitation; Add the concentrated lye to give a dark blue red color. It is purplish black in concentrated sulfuric acid and produces black brown precipitate after dilution. Reddish-brown solution in concentrated nitric acid and precipitate. Application

Direct tanning GF is mainly used for dyeing and printing cotton, viscose fabrics and wool viscose, brocade viscose blended fabrics. Dye characteristics

Direct dyes contain water-soluble groups such as -SO3Na, -COONa, etc., and their solubility increases significantly with the increase of temperature. For direct dyes with poor solubility, soda ash can be added to help dissolve them. Direct dyes are not resistant to hard water, and most of them can combine with calcium and magnesium ions to form insoluble precipitates, which will cause stains on dyed fabrics, so direct dyes must be dissolved in soft water. If the hardness of dyeing water in production is too high, soda ash or sodium hexametaphosphate can be added, which is not only conducive to the dissolution of dyes, but also has the effect of softening water.Direct dyes are more direct to cellulose fibers than other dyes. This is mainly due to the large molecular weight of direct dyes, linear molecular structure, good symmetry, long conjugated system, good planarity, and strong van der Waals force between dyes and fiber molecules. At the same time, the direct dye molecules contain amino groups, hydroxyl groups, azo groups and other groups, which can form hydrogen bonds with hydroxyl groups in cellulose fibers, hydroxyl groups, amino groups in protein fibers, etc., so that the directness of dyes is further improved.When direct dyes are used to dye cellulose fibers, salt acts as a dyeing accelerator. The dyeing-accelerating mechanism is that direct dyes dissociate into pigment anions in solution to dye cellulose fibers, and cellulose fibers are also negatively charged in water. There is charge repulsion between dyes and fibers. Adding salt to the dye solution can reduce the charge. Repulsion, increase dyeing rate and dyeing percentage. The dyeing effect of different direct dye salts is different. Salts with more sulfonic acid groups in the molecule can effect direct dyes, and the salt can promote dyeing significantly. When promoting dyeing, salt should be added in batches to ensure uniform dyeing. Direct dyes with a low dyeing percentage need to add more salt, and the specific dosage can be determined according to the type of dye and the depth of dyeing. For light-colored products with high level dyeing requirements, the amount of salt should be appropriately reduced to avoid uneven local dyeing and staining defects such as color flowers.
